The New York Knicks are expected to be really active during the offseason as Leon Rose and Tom Thibodeau are trying to create a winning culture around the franchise.

The organization is still on rebuilding mode with RJ Barrett being the crown jewel of their process. According to SNY’s Ian Begley, the Knicks will take fit with former Duke guard/forward into account in any potential offseason move they make.

“Several people in touch with decision-makers at [Madison Square Garden] say they expect that the Knicks will take a player’s fit with [and] impact on RJ Barrettinto account when considering a potential move,” Begley wrote in his latest mailbag.

Barrett averaged 14.3 points, 5.0 rebound and 2.6 assists during his rookie campaign while shooting 40.2 percent from the field.

New York will have the chance to add another promising prospect this season, as they hold the No. 8 overall pick in the upcoming draft.
