Rose, a former agent, was named Knicks president on March 2, 2020, and has overseen the team through a period of consistent playoff contention. Under his leadership, New York reached the conference finals in the 2024-25 season, marking the franchise’s deepest playoff run since 2000.

Since Rose’s arrival, the Knicks have qualified for the postseason in four of his five full seasons. The team finished 2020-21 with a 41-31 record, losing in the first round, and reached the conference semifinals in both 2022-23 and 2023-24. The 2024-25 squad went 51-31, defeating Detroit and Boston in the first two playoff rounds before falling to the Indiana Pacers in the conference finals.

For the 2025-26 season, New York currently sits third in the Eastern Conference at 23-13, averaging 119.6 points per game while allowing 115.1. Jalen Brunson leads the team with 29.2 points and 6.3 assists per game, while Karl-Anthony Towns contributes 21.5 points and 11.5 rebounds. Mikal Bridges adds 16.0 points per contest, providing scoring depth alongside OG Anunoby’s 15.1 points and Miles McBride’s 12.6 points.

The Knicks’ current roster, guided by head coach Mike Brown, has benefited from stability in the front office, with Rose managing key acquisitions and roster continuity. His tenure has coincided with the team’s return to consistent playoff relevance, which includes a notable mix of veteran leadership and young talent.
