Despite his relationship with Julius Randle, Leon Rose is certainly open to dealing with Randle or not to execute his contract option for the 2021-22 season, although in that case, it would still contain $4 million on the salary limit. As reported by The New York Post, ahead of the February 6 commercial deadline, the Knicks were willing to move Randle and discussed with Charlotte.
Randle had a drop in 3-point shooting percentage (from 34.4 to 27.7), which was alarming. Also, players like RJ Barrett were frustrated by Randle‘s excessive dribbling. The climate is, therefore, not the ideal one.
