New York Knicks point guard Dennis Smith Jr. is making a jersey number change from No. 5 to No. 4 in hopes of regaining his mojo.

Smith wore No. 4 in his only year in college at North Carolina State where he averaged 18.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game while shooting 45.5 percent from the field.

This will be Smith’s third number in the NBA, as he wore No. 1 for the Dallas Mavericks and No. 5 for the Knicks.

Smith, who is only 22 years old, still has plenty of time to turn things around after only averaging 5.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game in 34 games (15.8 minutes per game) this past season.
