Heat add veteran Dennis Smith Jr.

Dennis Smith Jr. is expected to sign with the Miami Heat, according to the Sun Sentinel. However, the veteran guard will not be part of Miami’s roster when training camp begins.

Instead, Smith is expected to eventually return to the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the Heat’s G League affiliate, where he finished last season.

Smith’s agreement with Miami is expected to include an Exhibit 10 guarantee. Under the arrangement, he would receive a $91,000 payment if he remains with the Skyforce for at least 60 days.
