Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray need to step up for the Denver Nuggets, according to head coach Michael Malone.

The two superstars combined for just 27 points in Game 3, with Jokic posting 15 points, six rebounds and five assists and Murray adding 12 points, on 5/16 shooting.

“I haven’t had a chance to speak with him yet. 15 points, six assists, five rebounds… those OK numbers but from Nikola, obviously, we need more. Especially when Rudy Gobert is having the game that he’s having.

Rudy Gobert dominated us tonight. Mike Conley dominated us tonight. We’re not going to go anywhere if Nikola and Jamal combine for 27 points. The best players are stepping up and play well,” Malone said after the loss, via Antonis Stroggylakis of Eurohoops.

The Jazz decimated the Nuggets in Game 3 (87-124) and now lead the series 2-1. Game 4 will take place on Sunday.
