Anadolu Efes grabbed a vital road win as they defeated Unicaja Malaga 78-73 in Group F of the Euroleague Top 16.

After losing their first game, the Turkish side are now 5-1 while Malaga fall to 2-4. Jordan Farmar paced the winners with 15 points and five assists. Kerem Gonlum added 13 points and 10 rebounds. Luka Zoric led Unicaja with 20 points.

“Other than in the third quarter, we managed to control the game by being creative on offence,” Anadolu Efes coach Oktay Mahmuti said.

“We allowed them to run the break, which was our mistake. It was a balanced game in the end, but we played the right way in the fourth quarter and managed to get the win against a great opponent."

Panathiniakos survived a late comeback from Brose Baskets to record a 76-73 victory in the Greek capital.

The Greens, who now improve to 4-2 in Group E led for the majority of the contest but a 7-0 run from the visitors in the fourth gave them a shock lead and it looked to have rattled the 2011 Euroleague champions. Veteran Dimitris Diamantidis stepped up to secure victory for the hosts though and leave Bamberg winless at 0-6.

Michael Bramos netted 16 points for the victors while Bostjan Nachbar led the German champions also with 16.

"We were expecting a tough game and it happened,” Panathinaikos coach Argiris Pedoulakis said. “

“Brose Baskets is a team with good structure and they can punish every mistake of their opponents. We had some good moments and some bad moments and this is the reason we came to a thrilling end and the result was decided by the special situations.

BC Khimki secured an impressive 83-71 road win at Caja Laboral to draw the two sides level in Group F at 4-2.

Big man Paul Davis led the winners with 20 points and five rebounds and K.C. Rivers drained 5/7 three-pointers, en route to 16 points. The Liga Endesa side were led by Fabien Causeur, who tallied 15 points.
