Zalgiris Kaunas has made a strategic move to address its injury woes by signing forward Demetre Rivers until the end of the season.

Rivers arrives from Givova Scafati of Italian league where he averaged 10.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 10.4 assists per game in 28 minutes of action.

With key players like Arnas Butkevicius and Tomas Dimsa sidelined, Rivers fills a vital role and adds depth to Zalgiris’ roster during the critical phase of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) season.

Rivers’ journey to Zalgiris includes stints in various European leagues, starting with Pernu Sadam in Estonia after his collegiate career at Mercer University.

The seasoned player has gained valuable experience playing for clubs across Europe, including Hungary’s Nymburk CEZ and Greece’s PAOK Thessaloniki.
