With the NBA season stopping indefinitely, the Brooklyn Nets can seek Kenny Atkinson‘s replacement with due calm, without having to force the choice. And according to Marc Stein, there are numerous candidates for the Nets bench.

Tyronn Lue, Jason Kidd, Mark Jackson, Jeff Van Gundy. In addition, of course, the current interim coach Jacque Vaughn. These are the names from which, most likely, the future coach of the Brooklyn franchise will come out.

Atkinson was fired in March, despite a season in line with past performances. But, it seems that behind the dismissal of the coach there was pressure from Irving and Durant, who could not stand the choral and starless game of the coach.

The new coach must, therefore, be a figure capable of knowing how to mediate with two stars who can guarantee success, but also prove to be very bulky. Unless you prefer a charismatic figure instead, capable of curbing possible changing room moods. And so there would be reason to be an interest in Jeff Van Gundy.
