Euroleague Basketball and adidas today announced a two-year expanded partnership that will run through the 2015 season.
“This new alignment with such a sports industry icon as adidas is another step forward for Euroleague Basketball’s mission of growing our sport on a global level,” Jordi Bertomeu, president and CEO of Euroleague Basketball, said. “With forward-thinking partners like adidas we are putting ourselves in a position to grow our brand and business.”
The partnership gives adidas media and in-arena rights during the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Game of the Week. The new partnership also includes grassroots basketball initiatives, product evaluation and testing and exclusive apparel offerings.
“Euroleague’s talented players, passionate fans and growing popularity make them the perfect partner to continue our goal of connecting with fans and creating products that make athletes better to move the game forward,” said Chris Grancio, adidas head of global basketball sports marketing.
adidas will continue as an official sponsor of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four in Milan with in-arena presence, media rights during Euroleague broadcasts that air in over 190 countries and exclusive rights to produce official event apparel.
