Kyrie Irving has no preference for Tyronn Lue to become the new head coach of the Brooklyn Nets, per Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson of Heavy.com.
Even though it was reported that Irving wanted Lue to replace Kenny Atkinson on the team’s bench, Robinson reports that Irving has no such intention.
Lue coached Irving during his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers, with the pair helping lead the Cavs to the NBA title in 2016. But, Irving has no plans to orchestrate a potential reunion.
Brooklyn parted ways with head coach Kenny Atkinson on Saturday.
