Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving want a high-profile coach to take over the Brooklyn Nets, per ESPN’s Jackie MacMullan.

The two superstars would consider a coach with an established name in the NBA, such as Gregg Popovich and Tyronn Lue, as the best option to join the team.

“Yet, league sources say Durant and Irving are interested in a higher profile head coach, along the lines of Tyronn Lue or Gregg Popovich, who are among the candidates who have been linked to the opening,” MacMullan reports.

Following their elimination from the playoffs, the Nets are about to starting their search for a new head coach.

Current interim coach Jacque Vaughn is also considered an option for the next season, given the decent job he did since taking over back in March.
