Derrick Rose thinks playing through his mistakes as a youngster on the Chicago Bulls helped him become the great player he is today.

“I’ve seen it all. I’ve played against great players since I was young. I was able to play through my mistakes, and I think that made me the player I am right now.

I played through adversity, and playing in Chicago, having all of those expectations on me at an early age, I think that made me into the player I am,” Rose told James Edwards III of The Athletic.

Rose has hit a few clutch shots for the Pistons this season. In 49 games for the Pistons this year, the Chicago native is averaging 18.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 5.6 assists.
