Derrick Rose had a crucial part in the Detroit Pistons’ first win of the season, however, he was not the only one to shine in the game against the Boston Celtics.

The Pistons’ rookie Saddiq Bey put up 17 points along with seven rebounds in a close game against a title contender. Rose praised the rookie and said he was a fan since he saw him play at Villanova.

The Pistons started the season 0-4, however they lost most of the games due to their inability to find good offensive plays in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter.

With the young movement on full display in Detroit, it’s pretty obvious that many times the team will suffer during the game’s closing moments.

Rose recorded 17 points along with five rebounds and four assists hitting a crucial layup with 1:20 remaining on the clock. With that basket, the Pistons took a 93-94 lead over Boston and held it until the end.

The 2011 MVP averages 14.3 points, 5.7 assists, and 2.3 rebounds in three regular-season games with the Detroit Pistons.

On the other hand, Bay has a promising start to his NBA career averaging 7.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in his first three games with Detroit.
