Philadelphia 76ers could consider trading Al Horford during the offseason, according to Jeff Zillgitt of USA TODAY Sports.

Even though he was considered an excellent addition to the Sixers roster last summer, it seems Horford’s future in Philadelphia is in jeopardy.

The versatile big man has come off the bench over the last few games, while the team may intend to trade him in the summer.

“Though the Sixers did not try to move Al Horford at the trade deadline, that might be a possibility in the off-season – if they can send that contract to another team and get shooting in return – a person with knowledge of the situation told USA TODAY Sports,” Zillgitt reports.

Horford has appeared in 55 games for the Sixers this season. He’s averaging 11.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists. Philadelphia is fifth in the East, with a 37-23 record.
