Victor Oladipo made his season debut with the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday (29/01), after an one-year absence.

It was an emotional night for Oladipo, who hit the game-tying shot with just seconds left in regulation, sent the game into overtime and helped his team defeat the Chicago Bulls.

Oladipo cried during his postgame interview, because he was thinking about Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gigi, who died in a helicopter crash in California on Sunday.

“I feel good. I ain’t going to lie, I was emotionally and a little physically exhausted after the first game just because a lot went into it,” Oladipo said afterwards, per Scott Agness of The Athletic.

Oladipo will be on a minutes restriction in the next games of the Pacers.
