Luka Doncic‘s 35 points to the Dallas Mavericks against Oklahoma City Thunder were not enough. Defeat for the Mavericks against Thunder driven by Danilo Gallinari and Dennis Schroder, who scored 20 points each. Also decisive was Chris Paul who hit the basket with 40 seconds remaining, and the Thunder recovered from a deficit of seven points in the last three minutes to beat the Mavericks 106-101. Paul scored 13 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter and added eight rebounds and seven assists for the Thunder, who have won seven of their last eight games to move up to seventh in the Western Conference.

“The really good teams in our league, the last four or five minutes, hang and tighten,” said Paul. “This is what we have done. We have to figure out how to put the whole game together, but I’m happy with what we’ve done”.

Different feelings for the Mavericks, without Kristaps Prozingis and Tim Hardaway Jr., who lost the game due to injuries.

“We played well, I’d say,” said Doncic. “We believe in every game, but the ball hasn’t entered, so I hope the next time it comes in”.

Upcoming games:
Mavericks: A six-game family game begins Thursday against Brooklyn.

Thunder: A four-game journey begins Thursday in San Antonio.
