Luka Doncic and P.J. Washington delivered standout performances as the Dallas Mavericks bounced back with a 119-110 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals.
Despite playing through injuries, Doncic scored 29 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and dished out seven assists, while Washington added 29 points and 11 rebounds, including seven three-pointers.
The Mavericks seized control early in the game, with Doncic leading the charge with 16 points in the first quarter, setting the tone for a dominant performance.
Kyrie Irving also made significant contributions for the Mavericks, dishing out 11 assists to orchestrate the team’s offense effectively. Though he was limited to just 2-for-8 shooting and finished the game with nine points.
Tim Hardaway Jr. contributed 17 points off the bench for the Mavs, while Daniel Gafford added 13 points and seven rebounds.
Despite a strong performance from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who tallied 33 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists for the Thunder, it wasn’t enough to overcome the Mavericks’ offensive firepower. Jalen Williams also contributed significantly for OKC, scoring 20 points.
The Thunder put up a valiant effort, rallying back in the second half to cut into the Mavericks’ lead, but Dallas remained resilient and maintained control down the stretch.
