Adreian Payne played for the first time since the opening round of the EuroLeague and helped ASVEL Villeurbanne defeat ALBA Berlin (93-81).

The American center finished the game with 12 points (6/6 shooting) and led his team to its sixth home win. The French improved to 7-8, whereas the Germans dropped to 4-11.

“I am just glad that I am able to be back on the court, playing basketball. It felt good to play with my team and get a win. We just played hard, stuck with our game plan.

Coach had some plays that he drew up in the timeout. We just tried to execute, not turn the ball over and take care of the ball.”

Payne missed ASVEL’s previous 14 EuroLeague games with foot inflammation.
