Boston Celtics center, Vincent Poirier, talked about the target of France in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo next summer.
“We’ll go to Tokyo with a lot of ambition and eager to have a great run there. Winning something, a medal for example, would be a dream come true. And I am working hard every day to reach the most dreams I can.
The goal would be to have a great tournament and stay in the same dynamic that we’ve had in the last couple of months. Competing in a tournament like the Olympics is a privilege, and a goal for every athlete no matter which discipline they compete in,” Poirier told FIBA.
France won the bronze medal in the 2019 Basketball World Cup and directly qualified for the Olympic Games.
