Rick Pitino announced his decision to turn down Panathinaikos offer and return to the United States.
The 66-year-old Hall of Famer is expected to pursue a job in the NBA, either as head coach or in an executive role.
Pitino took to Twitter and thanked the players and the owner of Panathinaikos for their collaboration. He won the Greek Basket League title and the Greek Cup with the “Greens”.
