The 2011 Men’s Cup of Bulgaria is starting on Friday in Universiada Hall in Sofia. The competition will be from Friday (11th of March) until Monday (13th of March). In the opening day, there will be a total of four games – all quarterfinals. The semifinals will be played on Saturday, the game for 3rd place along with a charity game for Georgi Ognyanov on Sunday, and the final – on Monday.

The opening game of the competition is between the National champions Lukoil Academic and Euroins Cherno More, and is set for 13.30. It’s followed by Rilski Sportist against Chermorets at 15.45 and Balkan versus Yambol from 18.30. The last game of the day will be between the defending cup holder Levski and Spartak Pleven and is set for 20.15.

Levski are the last team to win the Cup of Bulgaria. In the 2010 Final they defeated Rilski Sportist 81:78 in the final game, as the cup was hosted in Yambol.
