The Houston Rockets stepped up in overtime and defeated the Golden State Warriors at home (126-121) to remain alive in the series (2-1).

The two-time defending champions made a better start, but the Rockets took over from the second quarter onwards and led by as many as 13 points. Yet, Golden State came back and turned things around to force an overtime.

In the extra period, James Harden and Eric Gordon made some big shots and helped their team successfully defend its home court.

Harden (41 points) and Gordon (30 points) combined for 71 points for the winners, while Chris Paul finished the game with 14 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

Five players scored in double figures for the losing squad, with Kevin Durant posting a game-high 46 points.

Game 4 will be played in Houston on Monday (06/05).
