One of the best moments in the season comes with the All Star. Since 1999, the French event is scheduled during the Christmas season, and now everything is ready to enjoy it one more time. The 2009-2010 LNB All Star will take place next Wednesday, December 30, at the Palais Omnisports Paris Bercy.
It will be the eighth consecutive time that this arena, now celebraating its 25th anniversary, will host the LNB All Star. The event will begin at 20:00 CET.
The LNB All Star has been a sold-out in France for the past 6 years, packing Bercy arena with 14.500 fans. As usual, this year the All Star Game will face off a team comprised by the best French players in the Pro A versus another featuring the best foreign players in the championship. The Slam Dunk contest, the 3-point shootout and the Skill contest will complete the schedule of the night. Last year, the foreign players won by 108 to 101, with Laurent Sciarra getting MVP honors.
The first All Star Game in the French League was played on May 12, 1987 in Limoges. That game was played by the West and the East team, with West claiming victory 134 to 128. Ticket prices for this season event will go from 16 to 35 €.
