ASVEL Villeurbanne center Alpha Kaba will be sidelined for at least three months, with a left ankle injury.

Although his injury does not require surgery, his foot will have to be immobilised for at least six weeks and will not return to practice for at least three months.

This is the second time Kaba suffers a serious injury, as he remained out of action from late August until early December with an elbow injury.

Kaba is expected to miss the rest of the season in the EuroCup, where he played in just six games, averaging 9.2 points and 8.2 rebounds.

Villeurbanne has already advanced to the quarter-finals of the competition.
