In a tough game that was decided in the final seconds, Olympiacos escaped from Patra with a big win over Promitheas (77-80).

The hosts had the chance to tie the game and force an overtime, yet
Oleksandr Lipovyy and Langston Hall missed their game-tying shots.

Promitheas made an excellent start to the game (13-4) and took a double-digit lead early in the second quarter (29-17).

The “Reds” came back, though, and went on a 0-13 run to turn things around (29-30).

The visitors extended their lead to double digits (45-55) and led by as many as 14 (63-77).

Promitheas cut the deficit to two, behind a 0-12 run of their own, (75-77), but couldn’t win the game, after missing two three-pointers in the final seconds of the contest.

Zach LeDay and Kostas Papanikolaou led the winners, with 18 and 17 points, respectively. For their part, Vassilis Spanoulis and Giorgos Bogris added 16 and 14 points.

Leonidas Kaselakis had a game-high 20 points for the losing squad, as Octavious Ellis posted 17 points.

Olympiacos improved to 12-1, although they played without Nikola Milutinov and Giorgos Printezis. Promitheas Patras dropped to 8-5.
