Maccabi Tel-Aviv announced today that Giannis Sfairopoulos replaced Neven Spahija in the team’s bench.
The Croatian coach left the club, following its poor start in the EuroLeague (1-6), with the Greek coach taking over and making his debut against Anadolu Efes in Turkey on Tuesday.
Coach Sfairopoulos spent the previous four seasons as the head coach of Olympiacos, leading the team to two EuroLeague Championship Games (2015, 2017) and two Greek Basket League titles (2015, 2016).
