Giannis Sfairopoulos reportedly is the number one favourite to take over Maccabi Tel-Aviv, with Neven Spahija being ready to leave the club.

Due to the loss of Maccabi Tel-Aviv to Gran Canaria on the road (84-78), the place of the Croatian coach in the team’s bench is in serious jeopardy. As a matter of fact, it is likely Spahija will be let go in the following days.

Per the Israeli website one.co.il, former Olympiacos coach, Giannis Sfairopoulos, is the number one favourite to replace him, with former Unicaja Malaga coach, Joan Plaza, also being a candidate.
