Zalgiris Kaunas head coach, Sarunas Jasikevicius, was critical of Baskonia’s decision to part ways with head coach Pedro Martinez.
“Look at in what circumstances he was sacked the 1st time & he was cut again. It’s amazing. But, this is our reality. Owners don’t have patience. But, this is an unbelievable coach, who I love to study. But, our profession is cruel and we know it,” the Lithuanian coach said, per Donatas Urbonas.
Baskonia decided to let Martinez go, with Velimir Perasovic taking over the team.
