A historic basketball season for KIROLBET Baskonia, the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz and the Basque Country was marked with a symbolic tipoff on Thursday to set the clock running toward the 2019 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four.
The Baskonia-Alaves Experience Store was the stage for the launch of a season-long campaign that will culminate with the crowning of a EuroLeague champion in the Spanish city next May.
The highlight of Thursday’s event was the presence of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague trophy for all the local fans to admire. The EuroLeague cup will be exhibited in the store during the next days for everyone who wants to see and take their photos with it.
“This is the first milestone of a season that will be very special for Baskonia, the city, the area and all of the Basque Country,” Baskonia president Josean Querejeta said.
This was the first of a series of acts will be taking place in the city during the upcoming months, with the idea of engaging with the fans and citizens to make the Final Four in May a collective effort and success.
