Coroner confirms Tyler Honeycutt committed suicide

According to USA TODAY Sports, Tyler Honeycutt committed suicide, as confirmed by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

The 27-year-old player died two weeks ago, on July 7th, after he barricaded himself in his home at Sherman Oaks and shot at officers.

Following an autopsy, the coroner confirmed Honeycutt’s death was a suicide (by a gunshot wound to the head) and closed the case.

Honeycutt played for Khimki Moscow last season.
