Tyler Honeycutt’s agent, Aaron Mintz, and Khimki Moscow confirmed that Honeycutt is dead, after a shootout with police earlier today.
The 28-year-old player had allegedly barricaded himself in a Sherman Oaks residence and shot at police officers, who shot back. However, it’s still unclear whether Honeycutt shot himself or was shot by police.

EuroLeague Basketball released the following statement on Honeycutt’s death:
“The Euroleague Basketball family expresses its sadness on the untimely passing of Tyler Honeycutt and offers condolences to his family, friends, teammates, coaches and many fans. May he rest in peace.”
