American point guard Chasson Randle has signed for Real Madrid after being cut by the New York Knicks last week.

Randle played four years at Stanford before heading to the Czech Republic with perennial champions CEZ Nymburk, where he won the domestic league crown in his rookie year as a professional.

The 24-year-old has drifted between the NBA and its G-League affiliates and now has a chance to reinvent himself with the Spanish giants.

“I am happy with the decision,” Randle said to qconline.com. “There is absolutely not a better team at all in Europe. It is a blessing. Real has such a deep history in basketball and in winning.”
