Hungarian international Adam Hanga has reportedly joined Barcelona from Liga Endesa rivals Baskonia after months of speculation.

The two clubs have not yet confirmed the deal, but Eurohoops’ Nikos Varlas first reported the news that Hanga, currently with the Hungarian national side will head to the Catalan side this season.

Hanga has been a target of Barcelona coach Sito Alonso’s since the playcaller arrived from Baskonia in the summer. He nearly joined the Catalan giants last month, only for Baskonia to match Barca’s offer and re-sign him.

The 28-year-old spent four years at the Vitoria-based side, where he guided them to the EuroLeague Final Four in 2016, and captured the Best Defender award last season.

He averaged 11.9 points in the Liga Endesa last season and 10.5 points in the EuroLeague.
