Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens signed forward Thanasis Antetokounmpo to a two year deal.

Antetokounmpo (2.00 meters, 24 years old), whose younger brother Giannis is an NBA All-Star, arrives from MoraBanc Andorra La Vella, where he averaged 7.8 points and 3.8 rebounds in 33 Spanish League games last season.

He began his professional career with Filathlitikos in the Greek second division before heading to the United States, where he played for Delaware and Westchester in the D-League and New York in the NBA.

Antetokounmpo was named to the NBA D-League All-Defensive Second Team in 2015 with Westchester and the All-Defensive Third Team in 2014 with Delaware. He returned to Europe last season to play for Andorra. Antetokounmpo debuted with the Greek national team last summer in the Pre-Olympic tournament and is on Greece’s preliminary roster for EuroBasket 2017.
