The Oklahoma City Thunder have exercised their $17.7 million team option on Lu Dort, keeping the veteran guard under contract for the 2026-27 season.

Dort’s long-term future in Oklahoma City has been the subject of speculation as the team’s payroll continues to rise with the new contract extensions for Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren set to take effect.

With the option now exercised, Dort becomes eligible to be traded, giving the Thunder additional flexibility as they continue evaluating their roster heading into the new season.
