Kevin Huerter is staying in Detroit after agreeing to a three-year, $27 million contract with the Pistons.

The veteran guard was entering free agency after completing the final season of the four-year, $65 million contract he originally signed with the Hawks.

Huerter had been playing on an expiring $17.99 million deal, and his new contract lowers his salary beginning with the 2026-27 season.

Following his trade from the Bulls, the player appeared in 25 regular-season games for Detroit, averaging 8.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 20.5 minutes per game.

Although Huerter shot just 30.8 percent from three-point range last season, he owns a career 36.8 percent mark from beyond the arc and gives the Pistons another experienced perimeter shooter under a new multiyear contract.
