DeMar DeRozan: Doug McDermott deserves more credit

Sacramento Kings veteran DeMar DeRozan talked about what it’s been like to be teammates with Doug McDermott following Sunday’s 126-122 home win vs. the Brooklyn Nets (9 points/2 rebounds/2 assists/3-4 3-PT/+7 +/- in 16 minutes off the bench).

“Doug is great, man. He deserve more credit, because I think last year, he was bout ready to retire. And for him to come here, be ready, do what he been doing in this league at a high-level when he get in there, how professional he is… a lot of credit gotta go to Doug. We always tell the young guys, ‘Doug was the man back in the day, man. Doug McBuckets.’ So for him to be the veteran guy, bring it every day, whatever is needed from him — it’s big. So, a lot of credit go to Doug.”
