The Jazz have signed guard Bez Mbeng to a second 10-day contract, the team announced.

The former Yale standout has appeared in five games (one start) with Utah, averaging 4.8 points, 4.2 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.6 steals in 33.4 minutes.

He played 45 minutes against Philadelphia on Saturday, finishing with 13 points, seven assists, and six rebounds.

Mbeng has also played 41 games (12 starts) with the G League’s Sioux Falls Skyforce this season, averaging 6.5 points on 49.5% shooting, along with 5.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.8 steals in 27.5 minutes per game.

He originally signed a camp deal with the Heat in October before being waived and joining their G League affiliate.

A strong defensive guard, Mbeng went undrafted after a standout four-year career at Yale, where he won three straight Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year awards and was named Player of the Year in 2024/25.

The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 13.0 points, 5.8 assists, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.8 steals last season and finished as Yale’s all-time leader in steals.

When this deal expires, he will need a standard contract to remain with Utah.
