Paolo Banchero scored 26 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the Orlando Magic to a 118-111 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday at Uber Arena in Berlin. Franz Wagner returned from a high ankle sprain to add 18 points and nine rebounds, while Anthony Black contributed 21 points as Orlando won its third game in four.
The Magic fell behind early, with Memphis building a 52-32 lead midway through the second quarter through strong interior play and aggressive pace. Orlando trimmed the margin to nine by halftime and then closed the third with a 13-0 run to seize momentum.
Jaren Jackson Jr. led the Grizzlies with 30 points, while Santi Aldama added 18 and Cedric Coward contributed 17. Despite a late rally, Memphis has now lost seven of its last nine games.
The fourth quarter saw Memphis briefly take a 105-102 lead on GG Jackson’s layup with 4:05 remaining. Franz Wagner tied the game with a 3-pointer and scored five points in the final 1:39 to help Orlando close out the win.
Moritz Wagner made his first appearance since tearing an ACL on Dec. 21, 2024, scoring seven points in 14 minutes alongside his brother. Their return added frontcourt depth and created a memorable moment for the Berlin crowd.
Orlando shot 41-for-95 from the floor (43%), 15-for-40 from three-point range (38%) and 21-for-23 from the free-throw line (91%). Memphis finished 38-for-83 overall (46%), 17-for-36 from deep (47%) and 18-for-21 from the line (86%).
Turnovers and late-game execution proved decisive as Orlando protected the ball and converted key possessions down the stretch, while Memphis struggled without Ja Morant, who was sidelined with a right calf injury.
