Duncan Robinson scored 19 points and Jalen Duren added 16 points with 18 rebounds as the Detroit Pistons rallied to beat the Phoenix Suns 108-105 on Thursday at Little Caesars Arena. Tobias Harris hit a go-ahead jumper midway through the fourth quarter to secure Detroit’s fourth win in five games.
The Pistons trailed by 16 points in the first half and were behind after each of the first three quarters. Detroit closed the gap with a balanced attack despite Cade Cunningham struggling, finishing 10 of 26 from the field and 0-for-7 from three, with 10 points and 11 assists.
Grayson Allen led Phoenix with 33 points, scoring 21 in the first half, while Collin Gillespie added 18 and Dillon Brooks had 16 before fouling out with 2:13 remaining. Devin Booker remained sidelined with an ankle injury.
Detroit pulled within one after three quarters and used a decisive stretch in the fourth to seize control. Duren dominated the boards while Robinson contributed key perimeter shots, and Harris’ jumper ultimately gave the Pistons the edge.
The Suns rallied late, but free-throw misses and turnovers hurt their comeback. Detroit split a pair of free throws in the final seconds, preventing Phoenix from taking the lead as Allen’s final 3-point attempt fell short.
Detroit shot 38-for-81 from the floor (47%), 9-for-32 from three (28%) and 23-for-37 at the line (62%). Phoenix finished 36-for-87 (41%), 17-for-46 from deep (37%) and 16-for-25 from the line (64%).
The Pistons host the Indiana Pacers on Saturday, while Phoenix travels to New York to face the Knicks in their next matchup.
