Coby White sank a tiebreaking free throw with 1.9 seconds left as the Chicago Bulls rallied to a 126-123 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night at State Farm Arena. Josh Giddey recorded a triple-double with 19 points, 15 assists and 11 rebounds to anchor the Bulls’ fourth consecutive victory.
Chicago trailed by 18 in the second quarter but used a 19-6 run in the final minutes to overcome Atlanta, with Nikola Vucevic adding 21 points and 10 rebounds. Matas Buzelis contributed 15 points and Zach Collins had 10, including a powerful dunk in the fourth quarter.
Jalen Johnson posted 24 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds for the Hawks, while Trae Young had 22 points and 15 assists, but the visitors could not sustain their lead without Dyson Daniels, who sat out with right hip inflammation. Nickeil Alexander-Walker tied the game at 123 with a driving layup before White’s decisive free throw.
The Bulls converted 51% of their shots, including 33% from three-point range, and made 21 of 28 free throws. Atlanta finished 48 of 95 from the field and 13 of 20 from deep, falling to 15-16 with their fourth straight loss.
Chicago improves to 14-15, remaining perfect at 3-0 against the Hawks this season. The Bulls host Philadelphia on Friday in the first of six straight home games, while Atlanta faces Miami at home on Friday.
