Tyrese Maxey credits veterans for fourth-quarter aggression

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey credited his veteran teammates for encouraging him to become more aggressive during the fourth quarter.

Maxey admitted that he had not been aggressive enough offensively through the first three quarters, leading several teammates to push him to take more responsibility.

According to Maxey, JB, Process and Bron all expressed frustration with his approach and wanted him to look for more scoring opportunities.

The message continued into the fourth quarter when JB returned to the floor and told Maxey that he needed to help the team finish the game.

“JB and Process and Bron kinda got on me not being aggressive the first three quarters.

“When JB checked back in the game in the 4th quarter, he said, ‘You owe us; take us home.’ I just gotta do what my vets tell me to do.”
