The Chicago Bulls issued medical updates on Wednesday, December 31, revealing three key players dealing with injuries. Josh Giddey has a left hamstring strain and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
Coby White is managing right calf tightness and is set for re-assessment in one week. Forward/center Zach Collins has a right toe sprain and will be re-evaluated in 10 days.
Giddey has been a major contributor for the Bulls this season, averaging 19.2 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists over 30 games. White has also matched that scoring average in 16 appearances while playing 28.1 minutes per game.
Collins, appearing in 10 contests, is averaging 9.7 points and 5.6 rebounds in 18.4 minutes per game, providing depth in the frontcourt. His injury leaves Chicago with limited options at the center position alongside Nikola Vucevic.
The Bulls sit at 16-17 in the 2025-26 season and have relied on Vucevic and Matas Buzelis to handle increased minutes and production amid absences. Ayo Dosunmu, Tre Jones, and Kevin Huerter have also stepped up in scoring and playmaking roles off the bench.
Chicago faces a critical stretch of games in early January, including matchups against Boston, Miami, and the L.A. Clippers, where managing minutes and rotations will be crucial.
The organization confirmed that further updates on Giddey, White, and Collins will be provided as appropriate.
