The Miami Heat announced the addition of four players on Thursday, signing forward Dain Dainja and guards Trevor Keels, Gabe Madsen, and Jahmir Young. Per team policy, financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Dainja, a transfer to Memphis last season, averaged 14.6 points and 7.4 rebounds in 35 games. He helped the Tigers to a 29-6 record, leading them to a conference title and NCAA Tournament berth while ranking first on the team in rebounding and shooting percentage.

Keels, a former New York Knicks second-round pick in 2022, spent last season in the G League with the Iowa Wolves. He put up 20.9 points and 3.7 assists per game while hitting 38.5 percent from three-point range across 31 starts. He has appeared in three NBA games with New York.

Madsen arrives after a four-year career at Utah, where he became the school’s all-time leader in three-pointers made. He averaged 15.2 points as a senior and became the first Utes player to record 100 made threes in back-to-back seasons.

Young, who signed a Two-Way deal with Chicago last February, split time between the Bulls and their G League affiliates. He averaged 21.5 points, 7.1 assists, and 4.9 rebounds in 30 G League games and also logged six appearances in the NBA, shooting 80 percent from the field in limited minutes.

The Heat continue to reshape their roster heading into the 2025–26 season, the first since trading Jimmy Butler to the Golden State Warriors. The team drafted Kasparas Jakucionis with the 20th overall pick in June and added Andrew Wiggins and Davion Mitchell earlier in the offseason.

Erik Spoelstra’s rotation already features Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro, and Nikola Jovic as building blocks. The new signings will likely compete for depth roles in training camp or spend time with Sioux Falls in the G League.
