Here’s Toronto Raptors guard/forward RJ Barrett on how this past season created expectations for 2026-27 and beyond as a team (46-36 record/finished 5th in the Eastern Conference/lost 4-3 vs. the 4-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers in the First Round).

(via Toronto Raptors):

“I think it creates a little bit of expectation, which is good. We’ve shown how good we are, so now we’re gonna be held to that standard as we should, and that’s what you want as a competitor. I definitely [would] rather not be sitting at home during the playoffs and wondering if they’re gonna draft somebody and take my job and stuff. So yeah, I think it’s good expectations.”
