The Stockton Kings have traded the returning player rights to Skal Labissiere to the Capital City Go-Go.
The move was part of a four-team deal involving the Birmingham Squadron and San Diego Clippers. Stockton received the returning player rights to Jayden Hardaway from Capital City and a 2026 first-round G League draft pick from Birmingham.
Labissiere, 28, played four games for the Sacramento Kings this past season while spending time with Stockton in the G League. He recently reached an agreement with the Washington Wizards.
The Haitian forward entered the NBA as the 28th overall pick in the 2016 draft by the Phoenix Suns and was immediately traded to Sacramento. He spent three seasons with the Kings before joining the Portland Trail Blazers in 2019–20.
Labissiere’s most productive NBA season came in 2016–17, averaging 8.8 points and 4.9 rebounds across 33 games for Sacramento. Overall, he has appeared in 152 regular-season contests, posting 7.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per game while shooting 49.2% from the field.
He also has limited playoff experience, appearing in three games off the bench for Portland in 2019.
In the G League, Labissiere has been a consistent performer. This season with Stockton, he averaged 15.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game while shooting nearly 60% from the field.
The trade allows Stockton to acquire Hardaway, a 6-5 forward who spent five seasons at Memphis under his father, Penny Hardaway. Hardaway redshirted in 2018–19 and finished his college career averaging 3.3 points, 0.9 rebounds, and 11.7 minutes per game across 132 contests.
Hardaway was drafted 56th overall in the 2024 G League Draft by Capital City, suiting up for two games before the trade.
