Free agent forward Skal Labissiere has reached an agreement with the Washington Wizards, according to Chris Haynes.

Labissiere, 28, most recently played for the Sacramento Kings this season, appearing in four games while also spending time with the Stockton Kings in the G League.

The Haitian big man entered the league as the 28th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns before being traded to Sacramento on draft night. He spent three seasons with the Kings, followed by a stint with the Portland Trail Blazers in 2019–20.

His most productive NBA year came in 2016–17, when he averaged 8.8 points and 4.9 rebounds in 33 games for Sacramento. Overall, he has appeared in 152 regular-season contests, averaging 7.1 points and 4.4 rebounds while shooting 49.2 percent from the field.

Labissiere also logged postseason experience with Portland in 2019, though his role was limited to three games off the bench.

In recent years, the forward has played extensively in the G League. With Stockton this season, he averaged 15.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists while shooting nearly 60 percent from the floor. His consistent scoring and rebounding production helped him re-establish his NBA value.
