Robertas Javtokas could soon become the latest signing of ambitious Khimki. Russian club lost Maciej Lampe to Maccabi and are looking for a replacement. Javtokas told to lrytas.lt that the contract has not been signed yet but there are only small details left to be agreed.
Lithuanian center spent last two seasons with Dynamo Moscow. He is happy to make a return to Euroleague as he missed it it during the last two years.
If the deal goes through Javtokas should sign 1+1-year contract with Khimki. According to the player himself, the offer is similar to what he was getting at Dynamo. His wage there was around 1.5 million euros per season.
Virginijus Bulotas, who is Javtokas' agent, revealed that there was some interest in his client from San Antonio Spurs though they didn't make any offer to the player.
29-year-old 2.11m tall center averaged 11.9 points and 6.3 rebounds per game in Eurocup last season.
