Identical IG stories from LeBron James and Anthony Davis raise eyebrows

LeBron James and Anthony Davis posted the exact same quote on their Instagram stories, catching the eye of fans and pundits alike.

The message read: “Becoming the best version of yourself comes with a lot of goodbyes,” and both players shared it on their IG stories within hours of each other.

The simultaneous posts drew attention because the two are no longer Lakers teammates. Davis was traded to the Dallas Mavericks on Feb. 2 in the blockbuster deal that sent Luka Doncic to Los Angeles.

LeBron’s social post arrives amid heavy chatter about his future after he opted into his 2025–26 player option — a first in his career.

While he is widely expected to play next season, the opt-in and the IG quote have revived speculation about possible changes ahead.
